I heard on another forum they are going into full production in the next two weeks. I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing one before Christmas.
Karl, I am not looking for anything from IM again. I was just curious, more than anything. Does anyone know what company will be installing the decoders? ESU or IM ? Carl
Carl: ESU is installing Lok-Sound decoders in the Intermountain SD-40-2 Staying cool and having fun with it......... Shades
I just read, on a large East coast e-tailer's, web site that the "latest poop" regarding the first release is that they will not leave China this year. Most likely the "January container" which would make it February 2017 before they are seen at IM. Wonder how many more delays they can dream up? carl
Carl: Que sera, que sera. It will happen. We've been around long enough to realize that we'll see them eventually. I waited many years to see the BLI M1a's released. They are fantastically designed and performing steamers. I have two of them and the performance of these locomotives are outstanding. Staying cool and having fun with it....... Shades
They posted on their FB page today that first batch of locos are shipping by end of month. UP, CSX, BN, GATX, NS, SF, and ICE included.
From the video I seen it looks like there is more frame material add to both ends past the fuel tank, in fact there is a slot in the frame to allow the truck to turn.
Hey there out it was announced on FB this evening. Midwest Model Railroad has them in stock; so get you some of that Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm hoping the MP and MKT engines I reserved don't show up until February. I've bought 6 locomotives these past few weeks, and the capital budget is in shambles.
I wish they would have posted actual photos of the units instead of using the stock HO models. Oh well, I will have mine in hand by Tuesday or Wednesday I'm guessing.
Same here should have them by next Tuesday, and as stated earlier post; sure hope they are wort the wait and expense Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I tried to buy the 4 Road #'s UP 2953, 2958, 2964, 2966 (180 each) but by the time I went through check out only 1 was left on hand. So I Purchased UP # 2964 DCC/Sound in route to my doorstep as I speak. Except for the fact "No Ditch Lights" on the N scale they look and sound nice. Will know shortly.
