Interesting the cars are coupled so close together, it can barely go around a curve looks to me. I would propose it was made to haul poles or other long loads.. Note the weight bearing swivel bolsters in the middle of each car. Nice photos
I have seen something like this in the northern part of Covington, Kentucky there was about five or six attached together they had pieces of rail laying on them, so I though they might be used for carrying and laying rail!
