SP7644 street running in Modesto, CA 8-98

In August of '98, SP7644, one of the few units to get the slanted "SP" lettering on the nose, leads a short train down the middle of 9th St in Modesto. UP would abandon this trackage the following year

      I grew up in Modesto, and remember well those trains that ran up and down the street. Always wanted my dad to stop so that I could watch the train go by. Thanks for posting brings back fond memories.
