SD40-2

This is a trial custom project. I've taken an Athearn SD40-2 shell and I'm making it into a BNSF SD40-2 rebuilt unit similar to the ones they acquired from CN. So far I've added the awnings behind the cab. Next will be the ditch lights. These two features are the most distinct differences to the unit (as seen by my untrained eye. :D). There are two uncharacteristic features that my model will have. I not going to say right now but I quite certain that some will pick them up in a heart beat.

      Floquil's BNSF heritage green (on awning and smoke deflectors) is very close to the Athearn factory green but not quite there. It's most obvious at this angle. The orange however is far from that of Athearn.
