railroad themed mural

This mural, in the city hall in Celaya, commemorates the battle of celaya during the Mexican Revolution. The large face in the mural represents Venustiano Carranza, who was president at the time of the battle. Note the use of the pilot as a beard, the face drawn over the smokebox cover, roadbed shapes as shoulders and the brown smoke representing hair. The mounted soldier at the right is General Alvaro Obregon, who defeated the forces of Pancho Villa at Celaya.
