NS SD9M 54

The NS SD9M 54 was built form a P2K SD9 with sveral things changed to the stock model to replicate the real NS 54. When NS rebuilt the SD9s, The pilots were completely rebuilt to a smooth face pilot. Also during the pilot rebuild, The buffer plates and draft gear assemblies were completely new. This same practice had to be done to the model. Details West buffer plates were used and therefore, The couplers had to body mounted. This was among the things most visible on the out side. The N&W style cut leavers are hand made from .010" brass wire. Now that NS has retired the SD9Ms, The model is even more appealing.
