former Hart-Carter, Beeney Warehouse in 1970s

Located next to the Rock Island Yard near Peoria's downtown area, Hart-Carter became Beeney Warehouse in the late 60s or early 70s. Most of the tracks and the freighthouse and icing platforms (visible beyond the building) disappeared by the mid-70s. The building was torn down in the 1980s.
