      Nice view of the running gear. Interesting to see the differences between this unit, and what I remember of it's cousins from the Milwaukee Road. Such as no sand boxes on the roof.

      I'm not sure where the sand boxes (or the fillers) were on these units. But I can guarantee that they probably had big capacity ones, given the grade they worked on.

      I'm thinking the small hatch cover, above "00" in the unit number. A filler for internal sand boxes.
