Mike, I am enjoying every one of these photos you have posted and I am wondering how you are getting this great lighting effects. It has been a recent effort of mine with a friend who is an amateur electrician to try and achieve a 'natural' lighting affect on the layout. We installed four banks of 5000 kelvin fluorescent tubes to make it happen. I think all I have done is to make it very bright. I am mesmerised by your late afternoon light. Was this done outdoors? Exceptional effort on your part. Bob
Thanks Bob! The lighting in this pic was twin Triphosphor Fluoros overhead and a single 500watt outdoor floodlight mounted lower on a portable stand so it would cast some shadows. It also gave warmth that the fluoros didn't. A white board was propped up out of shot to the left to bounce some light back into the shadows. Layout was on our covered deck.
