Track Greaser

hi,um....this is probably a really dumb question,but what is a track greaser?please forgive my ignorance,cheers,stu.

The greasers are used to apply a small amount of grease to the inside edge of the rail to reduce friction between the wheel flange and the rail. This helps to increase both rail and wheel life. Greasers can usually be found prior to sharp curves. I hope this helps.
