Yeah, good thing I've got the real-life excuse of "borrowed power" to allow me to run them with my BNSF and UP trains. Sometimes wish I had based my layout on a CSX line. Spent three years in Virginia and really came to appreciate CSX (and I guess NS too)
I also love U.P. and just started a short line called GM&O but I run CSX more then anything else, I like the way they look on my layout besides I see a lot of CSX and NS if I go a couple of miles from my house there is a yard called Collinwood yard its an ex Conrail now belongs to CSX. I also love C&O/B&O and Chessie and anything related to CSX.
Yeah, I agree with you on all those roads. I didn't really know that much about "Eastern" lines until I lived in that part of the country. Where I live in Oklahoma we get a lot of leased power mixed in with BNSF. I especailly like the old patch Conrail locos we get on occasion. But, probably the best was a DRGW SD40T-2 with subdued patches for NREX. It was mixed in with older BNSF power and still looked like a Rio Grande Tunnel Motor. I have a shot of that on my "Full Scale" album.
