      I wish there was a book or someting that had more in-service photos of this area--it's quite scenic!

      Unfortunately, only a very few people ever seriously looked over this area. Most were enthralled by the electrics further south...

      This is probably a dumb question for most, but I'm unlearned on this. Why is so much of the tunnel showing, is this just from erosion or have they dug it out? I noticed this on a couple other pics of yours where the whole tunnel portal was just sitting out in an open passage.

      Geology of the area between Lewistown, and Great Falls, is highly unstable. Plus, there have been some earthquakes. History of that line includes many, many slides, fills sinking, etc.
