Casting the parts to build U.P. water aux. cars. Right of the cardboard are 3 shell castings & below those are 4 bottom castings. It takes 1 2 part RTV mold and 2 1 part molds to make this water car. The parts you see here have now been painted. 5 days to build so far. I am waiting on parts to come via UPS.

Its finished! Finally after 2 months of fabrication. Everything works well. I know how to build it better after my 1st build of this car. You will be able to find this in the Train Store Forum.

Side, Top & End view of U.P. resin molded water car I numberd it UP814. This is mt "test car" It seams the 1st one you build takes the longest due to planning. I had issues with the grey paint. Now all I have to do is trucks & couplers.

After many resin pours I finally figured out how to cast to capture all the details. This is a 2 peice car. I had to fabricate the end steps and glue them on the ends with ca glue. Here you see I started to paint them. Still lots to do on them. I will now post pics as I progress. This is my first car build from the ground up from fabrication, to mold & to cast.
