Micro Trains WP 3 bay Hopper that also got a "patch job" just for the heck of it - I tried to make the new road no. a little off so it looked like a hurried job. Used Block Gothic font rather than the original RR Roman. Light weathering followed

An IMRC CNW 2 bay Hopper that I had duplicate road nos. of so I did a "patch job" using a different font to the cars original lettering The car got an overspray of Floquil Dust & a few washes & light rust streaks

Red Caboose SP Autorack just finished weathering. I airbrushed the roof / grille panels Floquil SP Lettering Grey to kill the shine then used some Tamiya chalks / Oil paint rust streaks / fade overspray

Atlas 60ft Boxcar I weathered to try & match the photo in my D&RGW Rollingstock book I have some BLMA trucks on order which will lower the ride height & will body mount some MT #905's

Weathered Athearn hopper - nothing too heavy, just a light grey overspray / dark wash & a few spills. I nip all my trip pins about level with the coupler face - but the McHenry's are made from piano wire & a lot harder than MT's

SP 2 bay hopper - gave it a light CN grey overspray & weathered it with washes and streaks of oils. Floquil dust to seal it all

Just finished this IMRC hopper & had to use a bit of modellers licence > started life as a BN cascade green 3 bay hopper. The prototype was a 4 bay but I just wanted to try & repaint this unit with the patch job

Just completed Trainworx caboose kit - can now see why the prototype repainted in the all Grande Gold scheme. Even though this was a trickier scheme to paint / decal I think it was worth it - now for some weathering

Finally got one of my Trainworx caboose kits to the point where it's pretty much ready to hit the rails. This is the first of 4 x that I've been working on for the past 6-7 weeks. Not an easy kit to build but worth the effort in the long run + I learnt 1-2 tips along the way that am happy to share of anyone else is contemplating building one. You'll notice the difference in coupler sizes (MT Z#905 @ cupola end / #@ long end. Still needs some more weathering & touch up but 99% done. I didn't install the generators to the trucks cos I lowered the ride height.

Athearn BN 50ft Combo Boxcar - I replaced the Accumate trucks with MT / sliced off the stirrups & replaced with BLMA and then tried a few new weathering techniques. Just needs a closer to scale brakewheel.....

Atlas KCS 50ft ribbed boxcar that was all lonely sitting in a box cos I hated the Accumate couplers, so I chopped them of at the trucks & fitted body mounted MT Z #905's / replaced the stirrups with BLMA and spent an hour or so trying my best not to overdo the weathering....now I like it even though it still rides a bit high

Very basic load install & minimal weathering to this MT gon. Hay Bros rusty pipe load > but I filed down the cast on banding cos IMHO it looked overscale. Then tied some elastic thread around the pipe load at the same place. BluTak holds this one in at the moment

Weathered MTL CB&Q 40ft Boxcar. I oversprayed this car with a diluted mix of Reefer Orange / Reefer White to "fade" the "Burlington Chinese Red" to match the proto pic I used as a reference

Atlas D&RGW WV Caboose - with a few added details & painted grabs + some light weathering, IMHO is not a bad looking model for the price > out of the box. I have a few more ready & waiting for some D&RGW custom work

MT UP Bulkhead flat - another one of my fave pieces of rolling stock (even though it's UP!) I spent some time weathering the deck & bulkheads that I don't want to add a load.
