My cellphone camera is dying a quick death. This shot is horrible even given the sun being at a bad angle. WP Heritage Unit logo peeks out between Donner Snow 38s at Roseville.
One for the streetcar fans: IMGP10169._MSR274 by Mike VE2TRV posted Oct 1, 2016 at 4:48 AM Montreal Street Railway 274, one of the first electric traction streetcars in Montreal, built in 1892 by Newburyport Car Mfg Co of Massachusetts, and entering service in September of that year. This was the beginning of the end for horse-drawn cars, and by 1894, electrification of the network was complete. It was acquired by the Canadian Railway Historical Association in 1950, and restored to its 1895 condition. It is also the only preserved example of a streetcar built by the Newburyport works in existence, which went out of business in 1905.
You are correct. Was taken from the window of a train heading north out of Rome. (Not Georgia either. )
