Managed to finish a couple of cars this week, from two different eras.

Intermountain 1937 AAR Boxcar kit with Yarmouth Models Sills Steps in place of the cast plastic ones supplied, painted with Scalecoat II Black and Orange, then lettered with Highball Graphics decals.

62' Eel River RBL, painted with Floquil Reading Green with a few drops of Reefer Yellow Added. Then Decaled with Microscale Decals. MKT used these in Coors and Miller Beer service.

    Thanks for looking!

Candy, your skills are outstanding. I look forward to all your creations.

Though, I'm not sure a sidewalk slab would sag like that without first cracking, at least across the middle. ;)

Can't match Candy but here is my favorite SP fantasy scheme. The FVM GEVO was just finished, in fact I still have a couple of items to put on as yet. The AC4400 was done 4-5 years ago. Being an SP died in the wool man, the Black Widow has always been my favorite. Hope you enjoy,
    Carl

Those look great. The stripes on the gas tank was an excellent addition.

Some interesting modeling I saw at Exporail's special event, A Great Passion for Small Trains. It's a bit of a whimsical theme, starting with some (really) early steam:

Any earlier than that, you'll be modeling ancient Greek steam-powered curiosities...

Next, a portable layout, more than a bit of whimsy, with lots of castles and ruins, horrific grades, and an operating cableway:

All that displayed among the 1:1 exhibits, last August 20th. Looking at model trains with hundreds of tons of real ones around you - priceless.
