Got my hard-to-find Santa Fe mixed train combine (nee-Smoker) for my DC layout done last week, with interiors, and interior/exterior lighting. The marker lights (thanks to Russell Straw and Barstow Rick for their guidance on these) are controlled by latching reed switches hidden in the roof of the baggage area. This is what I've been working on this weekend...I may being to weather these up a bit. I love the way these Accurail cars go together. Accurail also sells a renumbering decal sheet that lets yo get up to 12 different car numbers. On the D&RGW these could be found hauling minerals or grains...
I've been working on a Santa Fe CE-11 caboose out of a Bachmann Wide Vision. I'm not so sure how it will stand up to some of the models here though.
