    Hi Steffen,
Thank you for your comment. The bridge is already installed and I do not plan to change it due to the fact that scenery is already finished. I've choosen to make it in this way due to two reasons: this was my first scratchbuilding project and I did not like to make it too complicated and technically difficult and - there is not too much space on the left bank of the dig and my perception was that this simply will look better. Anyway - thank you for valuable suggestion. Do not worry - I plan to start second module and prepare myself to "consultation" stage. All comments will be welcome.

It is time to finish the bridge. Three main parts were installed finally on the layout. Some "ground" had to be added to get the proper level of the road.

I added KIBRI railings and drybrushed signs of smoke from steam locomotives. unfortunately I made them only on sides of the bridge and forgot to make them

The road and serrounding terrain was added or adjusted.

The next project will be a mix of small scratchbuilding and using Shapeways items ...

That was a quick project! Great! The stand area looks cool and rustic. So where is this piece going do you have a supply building with dock!

As I saw on the photos this type of cranes were build as stand-alone next to the unloading tracks to help to carry on goods to and from trucks or even horse carriages into railway. I also saw some photos of this equipment standing on wharfs for unloading barges as well. In my case it will wait for the next project...

I should be getting the 3D model of the bridge photo you sent me it being printed. The one with the fancy handrails on it!

Well I am concentrating at the moment on rolling stock and weathering experiments. Unfortunately I am more busy with my job - not enough time for hobby...

The next project is coming back to electricity business. It was inspired by @southernnscale Shapeways design for Electric Sub Station: http://www.shapeways.com/product/ML...i=user-wishlist&optionId=55083892&rc=WishList and by observation of this kind of installations in my city. Normally there is also some building next to the cables, trafos and towers. My inspiration object is rather simply in design and from the air view it has a T shape. I made some photos and based on it I estimated measuremants. Due to high voltage it is impossible to enter the property:

This look like a cool project! The towers and the transformer in the last photo has a lot of power stuff to do unless your going to design it smaller. I take most building when designing look at doors and windows to Help get the size of buildings standard door or standard window and the normal wall height to design things I can get close to and most of the time they are pretty close to the right size..

@southernnscale I used the method you proposed to estimate the size of the building. Actually the doors were the point of reference.

The sides of the building were cut out of the plastic sheet. Some details were added using plastic rods:

They were glued to the body of a building made out of styrodur to keep the shape of the construction:

    Nice going, Pawel.

Hey, I happened upon this polish website of a guy who does some nice model railroad bridges, including two in Z.
Some of it is in english, most in polish. Can't figure out if it is kits or ready builts, and what the price would be. Can you tell us more?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hello Matt,
I know those beautiful brass bridges and had the possibility to see the models in reality. They are fantastic ! As far as I know both were made in small quantity of 2 items per prototype - ready builts. One is for the owner and one is for sale. It was still possible to buy at least one of them in October 2015. The price was +/- equivalent to 600 USD as far as I remember. I had a small talk with the men who produced them. He said: "There is no maney to pay the job of building Z scale bridges..."

    Matt and Pawel!
They are some outstanding master pieces in brass. I have found they can get very pricey. If I was doing shows I might pay that price but just for my self I think I would try to learn more about modeling in Brass. I think if I was an Engineer in designing I might try! but like he said there is no money to pay the job of building Z scale Bridges that why I started doing 3D printing thing it's a little cheaper !!

The more challanging wall is the one with windows under metal net. For window prames I used scrapbox KIBRI or Vollmer details:
