Thought I would take some photos out in the sunshine today! This photo is based on a James Belmont photo he took back in the early 90s. Here we have the D&RGW 3131 (ex-Conrail GP40) and 3130 (GP40-2 from the class of 1983) and a couple of box cars headed for Kennecott Copper. ICC caboose 01523 is bringing up the markers. THe 3131 is an Atlas unit, the 3130 is a Genesis, and the 01523 is a RTR caboose that I have modified....
Here is a F-45 I did for a friend and fellow club member. It is back-dated to pre BNSF. This was done mainly with powders.
Here is my version of a former ATSF, now MK "wrent a wreck" F45. The green part is where MK replaced a side panel with one from a BN unit (that's my story and I am sticking to it). This is a Older Athearn Blue box loco, that I put flush fitting windows and a bunch of detail parts on. The Blue radiator fan was taken from a Conrail loco. No where as nice as the Genesis model. I may have posted photos on this site before but cant find them LOL. If it is a repeat, I apologize in advance. Thanks for looking!
Always a joy to see your fine work, Tom. I've said it a million times but you're work is downright museum quality.
Boy Tom, this is a switch! Usually yours are a lot more subtle than mine! Looks really good! Not-Nu Locomotives!
Hit a loaded semi truck right in front of the trailer tires in the real one in Midvale Utah 16-18 years ago. Bent the handrails into the front door shattered all the glass on the front of the loco, nobody got a scratch on them. The truck driver had his little boy and wife with him. I think a higher power was with everyone that bright sunny day. Dont really know why the carrier didnt care for these that much, everyone I ever had performed good.
Here are a couple of UTAH RAILWAY models, the first is an Athearn RTR MPI 9005 and the second is one I've been working on for a while, the MPI 9014, a KATO model.
The SP SD40T-2 is one of my favourites. This one is a Athearn Blue Box from a few years ago. This one is a "Master" unit.
Somewhere in my colour slides I have a couple of photos of a MPI SD45. I don't think it's been on photo CD yet so can't post it.
