Hi, I bought to engines on ebay for a future projekt. Proto 2000 SW 9/1200 , it will get Esu Loksound decoder and a second Proto 2000 SW 8/900 with DCC and tsunami sound. They will be converted to some kind of loco for my Canfor Mill and North Western wood preservers mill. CN SW 8 is pulling a short train And this is what I have in mind for the SW 1200 Regards,Chris
I bought this stone viaduct from a friend last night. This bridge has been around, the friend bought it from another club member who bought an entire layout from an estate in Martins Ferry - Steubenville, OH area. Neither one could make it work on their layouts, but I think I can! The bridge is 6'-3" long and about 12-1/2" tall, that is about 544 scale feet long and 90-1/2 scale feet tall. According to my track plan, I have a 5'-3" space across the windows at the end of my room, I could either cut a 12" section out and splice it back together or modify the benchwork to make this fit (no track laid in area yet).
Wow that is one impressive bridge.. Excellent weathering too. Would like to see pictures of the installation. I have used bridges from estates as well. I think it is a good thing to do and pays respect to the folks that built these kinds of things. Thanks for showing us!!
That bridge is extremely realistically weathered. Great prize. My latest purchases - no photo's are: - Tangent Great Northern bulkhead flat car, and - Kadee green Great Nothern 50' box car. I've been wanting to add a few GN since D&RGW hauled them on it's bridge traffic in the 1970's. I want to have a realistic mix of bridge traffic so foreign freight roads far outnumbered D&RGW.

Hi Jaytrain, It never fails, if you get something new, you'll inadvertently knock a piece of it off! As several of the folks around here can testify, I've certainly done my share! Handrails, horns, antenas, sunshades, you name it, I've put them back on! LOL
Yeah… grr… knocked a piece off of it. Had a brand new loco sitting on a shelf layout. Kitty decided that was worth walking around on. Found my loco on the floor hours later. And another time. Bought a cool vintage french steam engine. One piece on it looked crooked so decided to try and give it a twist. It seems it was not crooked at all. After I had succeeded in snapping the detail part clean off, I realize it was held on by a square pin. Gr….
I knocked a new model off my staging yard. Too the coupler clean and off. Needless to say no one to blame but my self. At least I know how to make repairs.
My recent purchase is this plug door boxcar by Bachman. Purchased at a local train show for .50 cents
