These cars are still available to be show cased on your railroad! Let myself or the Colonel know if you'd like to host them.
One of the cars still has yet to be hosted by the Andersley Western or Montana Central. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
I'd love to. I've always wanted to participate in something like this. Finally digging my trains back out of their boxes after the move 8 years ago. Starting a new layout with the kids in the basement. In the mean time one or both can travel the rails at my club's great layout in Minneapolis. Jas
No kidding. Where does the time go. Wherever it goes, it goes progressively faster as I get older. Whereas high school seemed to take an eternity, my 20's and 30's are now a blur.
Jason, the cars left today on a manifest freight headed to Rosemount. They should be there 3 to 4 days let me know when they show up. Joe
Excellent news. Thank you for the update. I will watch for them to be dropped off on the interchange tracks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TrainBoard cars on the Hennepin Overland club layout in Minneapolis 3-5-16 pictures. The cars arrived on a manifest from the ATSF railroad out west and were spotted in a scrap yard siding. A Conrail GP35 operated by my soon to be 8 year old son picked them up on the branch line. It was his locomotive's maiden voyage. He purchased it last week from the club and I installed a decoder in it last night. The cars are pulled along the branch line, long hood forward. The cars traveled through the branch line yard, headed up the grade, and waited at the signal for the Trainmaster's approval to head out onto the Eastbound main. On the Eastbound main, about to pass Coon Creek Passing Coon Creek Waiting at a red signal. A Westbound Great Northern passenger train passes by us. Through an upper staging yard. You can see the branch line off to the right on another table and the grade we traveled that leads up to the Eastbound main. Coming out of the staging yard. Dad's intermodal stack train extreme lower right.
TrainBoard cars on the Hennepin Overland club layout in Minneapolis 3-5-16 videos Father/son trains meet for the first time. It's a thrill.
Wowwee. Nobody has ever documented this much for us. Cool! BTW- I liked seeing the smile on your youngsters face. Pride of ownership and having fun. What size is that layout? It looks very substantial.
Joshua had SO MUCH FUN today operating his train. He was very proud. He wants to go back tomorrow (we operate Saturdays and Sundays fall/winter/spring). I linked the URL to the club in the photo and video posts in case you're interested in looking around. Dimensions of the layout are 65 foot long by 29 foot wide HO scale model train layout.
Well the TBS cars really got a workout on this trip! Nice to see video of them too. Great job. I'll get you an address to ship them on to the next participant...
