I think I would like to see this for a boxcar. And maybe something like this for a hopper, its dated but definitely different.
I just happen to be need of some Frisco cars. I put in for a boxcar and a gondola as these would work best for showing up in interchange service out west. I would be interested in just one set again assuming that the cars are more 40-50's than newer. Peter
Hi guys, the special run will most likely be a 3-5 car set. What type/types of car is to be determined at later date. It's still to early to say. Keep your suggestions and comments going, I like to hearing from you!!! A commitment is not a financially binding agreement it's more of a like to buy. Please tell me how many sets you would like to buy. Our goal is to reach 100 sets. Joe
I want to support the project but I do the whole east coast thing so Frisco isn't really my thing, at this point I'm in for one set. I'm interested in probably just one set.
OK, so at least one set here. That's just to show support! But, if it goes the route of a wood box, no caboose and stuff that would be plausible in the 20's......maybe more???
There are 61 votes on the poll with Boxcars in the lead with 20 votes, in second is Hoppers with 13 and third is Cabooses with 9 votes. The number of sets that people want to buy stands at 14. Please say how many sets you would like to buy!!! This is not a financially binding agreement, just a like to buy. Our goal is to reach 100 sets so we can start the manufacturing process. Joe
There are 63 votes in the poll results and 15 sets spoken for. Boxcars are in the lead with 20 votes, Hoppers are second with 13 and Cabooses are third with 9 votes. The poll results are still the same but the request for sets is up to 18 now. I decided to buy two more sets to sell at a later date. So now I'm in for four sets, one to run , one to leave wrapped and two to sell. Please alert your contacts to this thread and please say how many sets you would like. It's not a financially binding agreement. Joe
Between this website and the Frisco website we have 31 sets spoken for. We're 1/3 of the way to our goal of 100 sets. The poll will close on February 21 so please cast your vote today. Joe
Great news!!! Between this website and the Frisco website we have 53 sets spoken for and there have been 84 votes cast in total. We're over half way to our goal!!! Overall Boxcars have the lead with 25 votes, in second is Cabooses with 17 and third is Hoppers with 14 votes. Please alert your contacts to this thread and say how many sets you would like to buy! Joe
DCESharkman, you have plenty of time. Your request has increased the total of sets to 54. When we reach 100 sets we will start the manufacturing process after we determine what type of cars we want to do. A set will be from the top three in the poll. If you have not voted please do!!! Joe
I'm currently running the campaign on this website and Frisco.org. Do you know where I can go to find more support for a Frisco special run? It seems that I have maxed out the support on both websites. Your help is greatly appreciated!!! Joe
We have 65 votes cast on this website and 21 on the Frisco website for a total of 86 votes. Altogether Boxcars have the lead with 26, Caboose are in second with 17, Hoppers with 14 are in third, Tanks are fourth with 9 and fifth is a tie between Gondolas and Passenger with 6 votes each. The number of sets is now 55. Our goal is to reach 100 sets. Thank you for voting and requesting the sets!!! Please alert your contacts about this thread. Joe
Joe, I'm still up in the air about what I would buy. I don't need boxcars or covered hoppers, but I can justify open hoppers, flatcars and gondolas. I would also be really interested in seeing pullmans painted in red and silver paint. (I'm pretty sure that only the MTL 12-1 works for this, but the cars could be Frisco or Katy, so that would widen interest). Wheels of Time baggage cars could also be painted in red and silver, with shadowlines. I could be persuaded to buy a caboose in silver MOW paint, but it would depend on which caboose body was used (the Frisco wooden cabooses were plywood sheathed....) Pullmans in silver paint with SLSF numbers would also be welcome (again, I'm pretty sure only the MTL 12-1 works for this, though we could also talk to WOT about baggage cars). Paul
