Frisco special run for N scale

We now have 10 people that support a special run. That is 10% of our goal. We desperately need more support to make this happen.

FYI, the 50-footer shown in my previous post was built in 1956.

 

I am curious about the next TB Special Run car that was already reportedly in the planning stages after the MISSOURI-ILLINOIS SPECIAL RUN CAR ? hmmmmmmmm

 

The special run I'm promoting is separate from the TB run. This one is strictly Frisco. We now have 13 people who have shown support for a special run that's 13%.

I remember talk of another TB car...dont remember any chatter about it being a Frisco. My bad if it was.

 

Charlie is working on another special run but I'm not able to say what it is at this time. I'm working on a completely separate project. The more fires in the oven the better. We can always use new rail cars.
May be Charlie could chime in here.

Just a thought...we like multiples....how about doing the car without road numbers? I know there are several of us who have Alps Printers who could run off a small sheet of decals to include with the model so we can do more than one car? Might make it more appealing. I would probably buy 3 cars. I can also check with the powers that be here and see what it would cost to have us print the decals on the tampos... just a thought.

 

I'd be interested in something roaming the rails during the 1970s, like a covered hopper.

 

A couple of guys on the Frisco website turned me on to a new train of thought. We should keep track of how many sets of rail cars we would support. I'm trying to have a special run of rail cars that are in sets of three or more. One option in mind is new Frisco road numbers for the 5 pack NSC03-25 western railroad #4 or new road numbers for Frisco tank cars. All were manufactured by Micro-Trains. I would support two sets of each, one to run and one to leave wrapped. Our goal is for 100 sets to get it started.

What are your thoughts and comments?
