That "Evergreen" container next to the feed place is about 40 years too new given the overall era of your layout. Would recommend at least painting over the Evergreen & the markings in upper right corner.
Here is a business we don't see for the most part, as it is kinda overlooked when you enter the main yard. Plastic Media Systems Inc., is a place that makes those little plastic pellets used in the plastic molding business. I apologize in advance for any over-sized ground cover, or inappropriate, out of date, dwellings/ buildings, as well as any other short comings of same. Maybe some trouble with the law here too, a re-po or accident?? As always. Kindest Regards.
Tom, that is an amazing scene. So much going on, lots to look at and enjoy. First class work - I am VERY jealous!
I'm envious of everyone else's fine craftsmanship and presentation. Puts mine to shame. Someone once said a picture is worth a thousand words. Here's my grain elevator. Uhh...err not quite mine as Greg McGinnis is the creator, builder and presenter of the grain elevator. As you are about to learn...and more. Not everything needs to come in a kit. H&P RR #7 Progress Grainery.wmv Rick Howland Published on May 21, 2012 Everything needs a story..right. Rail Fest was recently held on the H&P. Today the last train to leave is on it's way back to Colorado. The Station and city that can be seen in the background is the work of one Greg McGinnis. I was lucky enough to be the recipient. More on the city later. The Howland Pacific Rail Corp., has made some additional improvements to the Farmers Canadian Coop. Hand throws for the switches, drop wires and fascia or a border to earthquake proof the layout, has been added. There is still a significant amount of work to do. For now it's trouble shoot and make sure the grain cars arrive safely (no derailing) and the locomotives can move about freely (no stalling). In response to a request for close ups of the Canadian Grain cars they are posted here. If you do your homework you will soon learn it is the right paint job on the wrong grain cars. Sigh! But don't think for a moment I will repaint them. Not a chance in ...well....I think you get the drift.
Have you ever been to the all points north if so I'm a member! It's around 5,000 sq. ft. If you aren't, and there are still 2 mills in Conroe and a local, I try to go to the club whenever I can, but it's 45 minutes away,
I believe I visited All Points North 10 years ago or longer. Also visited a wonderful Southern Pacific/ Houston East & West Texas HO layout in a garage 2nd-floor in Kingwood.
