I can not log in to train board. It keeps saying my password is invalid so I click forgot password and reset it,but I can not stay logged in.When I close out of T board it does the same thing when I try to relog in the next time. Evey time I want to post or check photos I have to reset my pass word. Can you help me?
This kind of problem has been seen before through some version of Internet Explorer. If you can, try accessing the site using a different browser (such as Chrome or Firefox) and see if that eliminates the issue for you.
I have been using chrome and have been on trainboard for years. This problem just started.I just logged in on internet explorer and it save my password
....or just accept that they must re-login occasionally. BTW, Edge (Win10) also has the same issue. So it must be a general issue with all Microsoft browsers. What I find interesting is that about 75% of the time I won't have to re-login during an entire session, such as this time. Though other times (~25%) I must re-login each time I go to a specific sub-forum, but see that I'm still logged in when I return to the main forum. Thus far I haven't been able to see any trend or common condition that might be causing this.
Every browser cookie will eventually expire and ask for you to log in again, this is normal. If you clear the cache/memory in the browser, it usually deletes the password
However, I believe that those times when I must login initially with Remember Me are also the times that I must re-login each time I go to a sub-forum. Thus indicating that the login authorization is not being remembered or transferred between forum visits.
It never drops me out (knock wood). But, if I use CCleaner (which I do every night) and fail to select cookies to keep..whichever website/forum I was logged into that had said cookies is now gone. Dave
