PROTOTYPE Trainboard Smartphone Challenge, For September 2015

And a new month begins.
Here are the rules:

1. Do not trespass (or violate any other laws in the pursuit of photos or videos).
2. Be safe (and legal). If you are driving, stop the car in a safe place to use your phone's camera.
3. All photos must be taken during the period of the thread (i.e. now through September 30, 2015 for this thread).
4. Photos should be taken with your smartphone (or other similar mobile device) and uploaded. Videos may be embedded from Youtube (or other video site).

And of course he was following rule #2 above and stopped his car to take the shot.

 

That's right Russell. Actually, my wife was in the back and held the phone over my right shoulder to get the shot.

 

Today in Eagle Lake, Texas.

 

Texas mud puddles, or as some know them, California lakes.

 

Rained all yesterday. The cold front came through and cleared the clouds out. And then it got hot again. But much dryer so should cool off nice tonight.

Good sound! You could hear those GE's coming a long way off.

 

That is a great spot for rail action. My regret is that I did not have time available to just sit there with my phone. There is some interesting traffic there.
