This thread will follow a door layout design and build to re-produce the look of Las Cruces New Mexico and Rincon New Mexico. This will be a movable display for the Southern New Mexico N Scalers club.
Hope you all enjoy the fun.

Mike, impressive, no green paint on your shorts or shirt. No matter how hard I try, I ALWAYS pick up a drop or two unless of course I am wearing my painting clothes. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next installment. later, Craig

Mike, as fast as you paint, how about painting my house? Should finish in a couple of days. Looks good, I will help if you want.

Thanks Carl, It is greatly simplified from the original design but should work well. If I get the scenic deviders built maybe I will bring it out to the club.
    Thanks , Mike

Mike, Let me make one suggestion before you go any further, get some cheap foam insulation board 1" or 2" and put that on top of the door before you start laying tracks. That way you'll be able to carve out some low lying areas or even add a highway underpass to add to the scenic appeal of the layout. I'm looking forward to following along as you complete your new HCD layout.

Thanks to all of you for the foam suggestion and I would normally do that but this is going to be designed to be simple and rugged and the areas to be modeled here are FLAT.
I do not need nor want foam on it.
    Thanks , Mike
