I also finished my Kato JR EF58. See those little "flag pole" looking things? Those are a pain in the you know what! They're supposed to be a press fit but I had to enlarge the holes to get them to fit.
A short walk to the diner, and when the wind is right, you can smell the steel mill. All this for only $60 a month
Nice scene. I like the sunlight peeking through the wooden fence and hitting the sidewalk. You have artistic attention to detail when taking your photos.
The other is a EF15. This has been a great weekend. I didn't realized how much I've missed working on models!
I remember back when Con-Cor decorated a bunch of these in GN, MILW, etc. I had one. Nice runner, but as I recall, the pilot truck would derail.
Here's a couple of my favorite toys. The first one is a daily driver which I did take to work today. The next is my baby. This was a total frame off which never see the snow and spends the winter in a heated shop. Originally had a six banger with a power glide but now sports an engine out of an unfortunate C06 Corvette and a 6 speed manual transmission. Also has 4 wheel disc brakes and power rack and pinion steering. It is not a trailer queen. We have taken it to a number of NASCAR races across the country and we have had is as far south as the Florida Keys. One heck of a highway cruiser.
Those both are lovely cars, you've done a nice keeping them up after restoration. Each time I see a '59 Chevy, I can't help thinking about my Best Man, a dedicated Chevy owner, and his comment that, when viewed from the rear, all '59 Chevys looked like "squatting" birds.
I'm sorry, but while you guys were playing with cars I was playing with your girl friends. Don't we have a place here on TB for these kinds of photos. This isn't really model railroad stuff is it? Now, where did I put my meds? Jim
I also remember COD curves, i.e. right-hand curves taken at high speed causing Come Over Dear response on bench seats.....
Here we go, Trucks and trains...Off loading the Box car, work a little manufacturing magic, load the trailer!
