Two industries (a brewery and a railroad supply house) at the end of Sarah's Valley on my HO scale "Gulf & Pacific Railroad" one evening in 1963.

Are your lights commercial or home made? Maybe a 'grain of...' type bulb and a sequin for the hood.

Those are very nice lights. That scene has real atmosphere.

Were you trying to embed a photo? Or do you mean you can't see something? I can see all the pictures in the topic. They're all present.

I like the way you've got different types/colors of lights. Adds a lot to the scene.

    Thanks for the compliments!

The bulbs are incandescent, 12 volts but running on 9v for longevity as well as to obtain the warm yellow glow typical of the 1960's. The brass shades are commercial, and the wires were glued together, painted, and shaped to form the curved mounts.

There is one LED bulb; the bluish-white one, in the picture. It is the only building-mounted LED on the entire layout as I like the glow of the incandescent better.

I agree. That soft yellow glow has a warmth to it. The LED I have here in our house tend to have a slight icy blue. Perhaps more efficient, but just not comfortable.

If that last young lass showed any more leg, she'd have two more cheeks to powder.

But I'd give her a ride in my little red wagon any day... (OK, it ain't so little... ).

DeSoto. Our next door neighbor had a 1955 model. It was a green color. Caught fire one day, and that was the end of it.

Back then, some folks might have indeed viewed that billboard as slightly risque. Times have changed.....
