This has me thinking of John Allen type scenes. Bridges and huge canyons.

Interesting to see the differences in the finish (looking at the first car behind the locos). Different manufacturer?

A wonderful scene and not a train in sight. Really captures the southwest so well!

The first car behind the locomotives is the smooth roof (ACF) Kato Super Chief RPO. The second car is from the same set but is a fluted Budd style roof on the Kato Super Chief baggage car. Just different light reflection characteristics not uncommon to be seen on the prototypes. ;)

The ground looks like some wrecking/scrap yards I've seen. Kind of an oily dirt.

My uncle owned a bar like your building on the right, the color was more of a turquoise though. It was Racine street in Burlington Wisconsin.

As the sheetrock work started in the new train room this afternoon, I have been looking at pictures of the former Albemarle Division and started getting nostalgic. Many of these models will be reappearing as I finish the room this summer and start building the new Albemarle Division in the fall. I can't wait.

    From the former layout:

Albemarle City-I have this in storage and plan to build into new layout: [IMG]

Such good scenery. I know you will add more and hopefully have a train in there somewhere. I am struggling to figure out the scale but am leaning toward S.

Please tell me some of your great works of art survive somewhere? What is this the 6th or 7th layout in less than 10 years.

What a bunch of wonderful photos this week! We have such depth in talent of all sorts here that inspire others, including myself!

Candy ... how many structures do you have on your layout? The assortment and details are impressive!

This reminds me of a little grocery just up the street from my grandmother's sister's place.
