There's a few memories. Just a few days ago I ran across some photos from that era, when I was a wee lad. I sure recall the girls. Poodle skirts, saddle shoes. My how times changed!
Just finished this Weatern Pacific 'Woodie', 640. These long wood cabooses were made from boxcars. Number 640 around 1916. Later it would be sold the the WP owned Tidewater Southern as TS 306. I made mine from a standard offset cupola steel caboose that lengthened and scribed and added the bracing and other modifications
Nice work, Marty! Have not been seeing you a lot lately. Please stop by more often, and let us see what you are doing!
Some really nice shots this weekend! Is that old brass Consolidation a PFM by any chance? I have one of those too. Candy, you sure know how to catch the flavor of the '50s. Brings back the best times of my life!
Some UTAH RAILWAY Some of my Utah Railway collection in the sunshine. The 9005 and 9009 are Athearn RTR units, and the 9011 I built from a Rail Power Products SD40 shell with Cannon & Co. cab and Athearn guts, in the mid 90s.... The ready to run units are from 2010. I used Testors Navy Aggressor Grey and Guards red...and they match pretty well...
