    I find this ironic...

When I filled out the return form to return the throttle for repair...they suggested a few ways to ship it to them. They stated that shipping via United States Postal Service was "Not Recommended"

They shipped the throttle back today. Guess what service they used ? Yuppers...the United States Postal Service !!

Now thats funny right there...I dont care who ya R !!!

Probably the best option regardless of what they think. I recently ordered something and my old fumble fingers managed to hit a wrong digit in my address. Now like a dummy I did not pick-up on it even after getting my order confirmation sent to me with the several digits off address. Day it was supposed to be delivered it did not arrive. I am still unaware I have submitted the wrong address. I get on the phone to USPS and find out that the address was wrong and where it was sent because I had the tracking number. So hopefully can just walk a few doors down and retrieve my errant package this AM.

I made another order last night and on receiving confirmation via E-mail I checked the shipping address same wrong address. The proprietor of the business had just entered the data without noticing the correct address and printed a label from his data base. Dang it. Got hooked up with USPS this AM and have the package to be held at the local USPS when it arrives. Not sure things would have been that easy with the other folks. And a lesson learned, carefully review and review again everything before hitting the send button.

A lot of folks just love to slam the USPS, but I've been using them for a lot of years including for a web-based business some years back. I will most always use Priority Mail because it can be tracked.

I can't tell you the last time I had an issue with a missing package, outgoing at least. (I also know how to pack.) I had a problem with a couple of incoming packages about two years back when tracking indicated they'd been delivered and I didn't have them. Went directly to the local post office and had them 48 hours later - someone (unnamed) had put them where they shouldn't have.

Generally very happy with the service.

And to keep with the thread, I've sent decoders back to Digitrax - usually several times a year - with good results and no more than a nominal wait time. But I'd avoid doing that around the holidays...

Where I reside, people seem to favor USPS and FEDEX. The brown truck gang has a less than happy reputation with many folks in this area.

FedEX, UPS, or USPS Somewhere someone hates one or more of them.

Now onto the next question for George.

Any plans on picking up a second throttle like an UT4?
I picked up a couple of them (not at the same time), I like them for every day use. They are great for the grand kids to use since they can't make any changes other then direction and speed.

    George,

Am glad you are hearing the gentle clackety-clack of them trains going around! Now, just keep them throttles and such away from the K9 demo team!

    Yup....

The dogs are banned from THE RV...unless either THE Wife or I are in there. And yea...I have to remember the old saying when I walk out of there..."Dont let the door hit ya in the behind on the way out." No more doors left open .... ;-)
