Name's Adam, but you can call me PT on here.

I've been a lifelong fan of trains, so I decided to finally join up.

Currently, I do railfan photography on the CN mainline here in Green Bay. I have a GS4 that I use to take photographs now, but am looking to buy a Canon Digital Rebel and all the goodies that go with that beast in a year or so.

I had a model railroad set when I was a kid, it was a small, unfinished layout. The story is complicated, so I will save that for another time. I'll leave it at "had" and say family matters led it to be past tense. Since my current living situation is pretty much not conducive to having my own layout, I've considered learning how to weather model cars and then market them. Though I figure that is a small market made even smaller by the fact that many modelers can do their own weathering.

I have other interests: two are somewhat dovetailed with railfanning, boat-watching and planespotting. I'm a fan of he Green Bay Packers, Brewers baseball, Red Wings hockey, and Wisconsin Badgers football. For hobbies, i do painting, writing, studying government and law (but I'm keeping that off this site), and professional wrestling (the 316 is a reference to Austin 3:16).

Oh, and I might sign off with "MoCHa HaGoTDi", and since I know I'll get asked about it, it stands for "Make our Customers Happy and Have a Good Time Doing it", it's something quirky I picked up from a semi-famous ATC controller at Logan International who goes by "Boston John".

A well rounded intro. You need to find a museum so you can photograph a GS4 with that GS4...

As for layout issues, we can all relate from some point in time or another. Consider trying to find a club with a layout, I've had great luck in the past with that. Failing that, dioramas can be a great way to fiddle with little bits of scenery and have someplace to stage the models.

And somehow Mocha Hagotdi sounds like something from Starbucks...

Hi Adam, Welcome to the Train Board. Looking forward to any photos you care to share. MoCHa HaGoTDi is an excellent creed for controllers, not only for their customers, but also for their customer's customers, my family and me in particular. ;)

Welcome aboard, Adam. I can identify with "had" a model railroad, past tense due to family. Also can identify with the RedWings, as I am a hockey fan. That may be where your handle "Titletown" came from? The Wings have always been in the midst of the playoffs.

Go Pack Go! Titletown is the nickname of the home of the greatest football team ever (Green Bay, WI, if you were still wondering).

    Welcome aboard PT316!
