    I do barely a kiss of Labelle's oil every once in awhile. My motto is, if the gears a shinny I've put too much.

    Nice review Mike, but I have one unanswered question.

    What or how do you get all of the excess material cleaned off? For example, I have a few locomotives that came back from warranty repair just sitting in a pool of oil in their jewel cases. What is the best way to get these really clean?

    I dis-assemble the whole locomotive and wash in dish soap and water.
