I was looking for a tutorial somewhere on the site but didn't find any. I thought there was an FAQ about it somewhere...
If you upload your images to http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/ you can simple right click on the pic in your album there...copy it...and paste it into your post ;-) If your images are hosted somewhere else...sometimes its best to just post the url of the image. Some image hosting sites dont allow 'hotlinking' of photos :-(
In the reply box, there is a row of buttons above the text area. The one that looks like a photo will highlight as "Insert Image" if you run the cursor over it. Click on this and it gives you the option of either selecting a picture by url (as from RailImages) or directly from your computer. Select the picture/insert the url and click on "OK" and all should be well. Please give it a try, maybe just as a reply to this, and raise a flag if you have any further questions.
hmmmm...interesting If you 'insert image" from your computer...doesnt it it go into your images folder on TB first ? I have noticed that that folder holds a less images then RailImages ;-) I think my TB albums folder is filled up...lol
I don't think it does, George, but my experience has been that it shows as a link in the post which clicks over to the photo, rather than as a picture within the post.
George- No. When you attach or insert from an outside source, it does not go to TrainBoard Albums, or RailImages. If you wish to bring a photo in from either of those two options, first you must upload directly to them. Attachments are managed separately in your "Settings" area.
If you have a question, just post it here in the Support forum. Many times you won't even need to wait for a Staff member, as a one of the gang will simply pop in and explain how they did it.
