A bit of good news here. The post about ordering track from Britain is correct. Just ordered the Peco scissors crossovers in code 55 that I have been looking for. Less than a hundred bucks apiece. And the shipping still kept it cheaper than ordering from outlets here..

Well, on line Hobby shop is advertising Atlas c55 track stuff due mid Jan. and mid Feb.. Just about a year later when it was initially due. The most important switches still have no due date. Will I be disappointed again? Will my bench work still be just bench work a year later........hope not.

Depends whether you want to be loyal to Atlas or have a working layout.

Until Atlas C55 is back on the shelves in quantity....or...Atlas makes a positive, firm announcement...instead of these every 3 month delays announced for years on end...this thread will most likely keep resurfacing. IMHO I think thats a good thing !!!!

I've got about 25 pieces of Atlas flex track so I'm just twiddling the thumbs waiting for the rest of the stuff to come in.

No, I've been collecting train cars and buildings during the down time but.....I'm ready to go. I've started to layout card board and string testing out how the track will look/fit. Peco may be the way to go. Really some honest updates from Atlas is all I need.

Hey chug... A couple years ago I bought myself some switches and track in a 'lot' sale on eBay. I ended up with used switches, some had solder on them, and of the twenty switches I got, only two were not quality. It was a little work but they all worked after some TLC. I think I paid around $130 for all of them. I couldn't have been happier. There was other stuff that came with it, like track, electric switch controls, and miscellaneous other things but it was a bargain! The switches are shinohara and peco. Just a suggestion sir....

I will believe atlas when things are back on the racks and hobby dealers quit complaining about the lack of communication. I do feel bad the Paul has to deal with this. It was never his fault. I hope, that he can resolve issues in China.
