    Somehow, perhaps it is the photo angle, but the white around those number boards has a different appearance. Sort of like a big steel plate was added, rather than being an integral part of the cab surface.

    It was a "speckled" day. No, the white dots are not a photo flaw. It was just a standard spring afternoon snow flurry, as this helper unit idled at Elliston, Montana:
