Thanks guys. Sorry to miss meeting some of you. If all goes according to plan we should be at the NMRA in Portland next year, and maybe at the national N scale in Sacramento, as well.
Rick, It was a pleasure running trains through your station at the Roseville show last weekend. Thanks for sending it! I can't say for sure but we had 4 passenger trains running on the layout at one point! They looked good through the station. I hope we can get a layout together for the Sacramento N Scale Enthusiasts convention in June. I think it's a Thurs-Sat setup so hopefully that helps! -Ryan
We had a great show in Pleasanton this weekend. MC has posted a bunch of photos in his thread (http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine...At-Home-amp-On-The-Road&p=1006334#post1006334) Here are some photos I took of the station module on Sunday morning, as early morning sun came through the doors onto the station (before the crowds entered) Here we see the morning light on the Palace Hotel across the tracks from the modern station and the tops of trees getting the early morning sun
Looking back across the tracks at the station Don't know what all those kids are doing in the playground so early A look down the module
In keeping with the SciFi theme of my modern buildings, we had another franchise make an unexpected appearance
Rick: The photo's of the modules look fantastic. Looks like you're really having fun enhancing the finished modules. Shades
Today was the first day for this weekend's Great Train Show, in Richmond, CA at the Craneway Pavilion. This is the old Ford Motor plant on the Richmond Waterfront, next to the WW2 National Home Front museum (big exhibit on "Rosie the Riveter" etc). A wonderful venue for the train show Here is my new Kato FEF with excursion train and water bottles
It was a great day at the show! Rick's two UP passenger trains (FEF and another pulled by a Big Boy) were in demand from the crowd. I was asked "when will it run?!" but multiple visitors. For any TrainBoarders in the area tomorrow....come on down and check out the show. Like Rick said, it's a GREAT place to watch trains.
If you see a guy with glasses and a 10 month old in a carrier, that will be me. Not 100% sure I'm going, but am gonna try.
Finally get to see that station, Rick, and it looks nice! OK, great would be a better term, but I don't want to gush!! Hope you get to post a video of them two UP steam sets going by that depot.....hint, hint.
