They can make all the announcements they want. Do they ever release anything? Still waiting on the ethanol cars they announced over two years ago. Athearn is not interested in n scale is my opinion.
You mean like the Big Boys they just delivered or just the stuff that is specific to your wants only... The Challengers are not far behind, so yes, they are delivering N scale stuff. I have the ethanol cars reserved as well (which are listed as an August delivery now), but will wait as long as required until they get the factory mess figured out. N Scale will ALWAYS be a distant second place to HO scale which is their bread-n-butter. Brian

Well this is a nice surprise. Those SOO box cars are not on my list but are welcome variety, I may have to get a couple.
Athearn was affected by the mess in China just like a lot of others. I like that they are releasing more of the SD70 variants, can never have enough of those from Kato. Just need to stock up on MT couplers to replace the McHenry couplers

Yes , just the stuff that is specific to my wants only. I run dieels so I'm not interested in big boys or challengers. The big boys are just a re-release in my opinion. Funny thing is they have tons of new HO stuff all the time ....and no N. This is China's fault? Like was mentioned, stop defending Athearn.
That's great that Athearn is releasing some new stuff, but it's to bad that none of it will fit my railroad.
Kato will more than likely not bring out another UP passenger train for a while. According to a Kato rep, they have warehouses full of CoLA trains. I guess the reason why (according to the Kato rep), is that UP fans were p!$$ed that the yellow did not match previous releases of UP passenger cars in years past. I blame Kato for that fiasco, NOT the modeler. Kato uses pantones vs paints, which severely limits their ability to produce accurate colors. And this is the modelers fault, WHY? Ryan
