Folks, As long at TrainBoard has existed on the Internet we have allowed buying and selling in a variety of ways. For the last few years we have offered you our TrainStore feature. TrainStore is a software driven feature which allows members to post ads and conduct auctions. Although it has functioned well (with a few problems) quite a bit of member feedback has indicated that you prefer a forum-based approach rather than the integrated software-driven solution. As such, we are starting a Swap Meet forum. For now, we will allow TrainStore and the Swap Meet forum to both operate. This will allow people with ads posted on TrainStore to sell their products. At some point we will have considered TrainStore to have reched its end of life and it will be discontinued. Please make sure you are familiar with the rules before using either of these features. As part of this change, the TrainStore system is now closed to new ads. The software will remain for a while to give users a chance to sell items already posted. In a few weeks TrainStore will be removed in favor of the more popular Swap Meet forum. Charlie
Will you please upgrade the links for this SwapMeet? There is no place that I can find to get to the Swap Meet, all the buttons and links still go to the defunct Trainstore. Thank You
The changeover has yet to be completed. I'm sure it will be soon and at that time, Charlie will make some adjustments.
I recently sold my coal mine to another member via Tboard 'TrainStore'. Went smoothly, but 'Swap Meet' has a more correct ring to it. 'TrainStore' title has a feeling of being 'retail ' in nature and retail is over at ebay anyway..So, yeah, 'Swap Meet' seems logical...
As of today, under "Quick Click" you still have links for Trainstore. Might be better to change them to the Swap Meet? I also can't find any links to the Swap Meet on the main page. Only a non-clickable link when I go to Trainstore.
