This is mine, I love forgin locomotives. I got this Japaneses locomotive off Evil Bay for 40 bucks, runs great and will couple to my American roll stock
I model the ACL, started back when I was living in Florida. But I just had to have one of those Kato Pennsy GG1s.
An MP15DC. Even though it is out of my era by a couple of years (early merger BN about 72), I will paint it up as an EMD demonstrator (that never was) and put it to work.
I bought this N scale Tomix Japanese Railways EF66. I have never been into foreign or electric locomotives but saw a video with this loco in it, pulling a JR "Blue Train". The EF66 reminds me of a Hino cabover truck that I used to drive many years ago. Of course, I had to have a train for it to pull, so I got a Blue Train, and then... Now, I have a whole fleet of Japanese trains to go with my Western Pacific stuff.
Not exactly N-Scale, but one of my favorites. It is a Remco Mighty Casey train set from 1970. It is fully functional and my nephews love it.
Nice to see I'm not the only one that like this train!! Got all 3 parts of my set, 16 cars in all, from Ebay some time back! Last time I saw the set, was more than 10 years ago, also through Ebay. Just no money back then to buy the set. Now to get a DCC decoder wedged in!! A couple more "just because" are the Kato Eurostar, 16 car set. Got a second 4 car add on set for mine. And the Kato 10 car TGV. Just because I think they're neat looking trains!
Yeah, Kato 10 car Sud-Est TGV here too - just because. Beautiful train on the club's Southwest layout (Hee, Hee)
I have a Kato RS1 in CGW colors, just to encourage Kato to do the smaller roads. Didn't work, the run that included the CGW loco was the first and last time they did any of the little guys.
This one I bought on Ebay, just because of the good picture. Never heard of the guilford rail system before, now I already own six Guilford locomotives
Now THAT brings back memories! I wonder if the commercial is out there somewhere on YouTube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDyzsET1MX4 Well, I suppose I don't even need to ask questions like that...
Just because, it was given to me. And since I model the UP in the mid 1990's and UP did buy up the WP I was very pleased to give it a home. Even though the GP7's were pretty much gone by then I justify it as a rebuild just because they wanted to. Next up is a decoder for it.
I have a Kato George Bush for no other reason than I think it is the most well done N Scale paint job ever done. Mike
Changing gears from the beautiful Kato SD, I saw this and thought it looked neat. I like the McGinnis paint schemes so this dummy Lima F7 (even the powered one are dummies) came home with me.
They are all great locomotives. It is nice to see we all have reasons that motivate us to purchase them. Mike PS Carl , I hope your eye is doing better !!!
Because I Can I love being able to custom paint, and this is no exception. I have sold on ebay a person in Tasmania AUS. I like this paint job better than ACe in yellow and grey. Shawn
