Hello from Central Texas. My grandson and I are building a small HO scale layout in a small room above my father-in-law's shop. We are mostly modeling the transition period between steam and diesel power, but we are not rivet counters. We are in it for the fun of it. Michael
Hi Michael, a BIG Trainboard welcome to you and your grandson, we're happy to have both you kids on board. As far as "Fun Of It" is concerned, I've been doing the fun of it thing for 65 years and have yet to get tired of it...LOL
Welcome to Trainboard. Everyone will tell you that there is a huge amount of information and also very helpful folks on this forum. And they are right. I remember Lorena, TX from my drives from the DFW area south down I-35 to Temple. I recall an interesting RR siding or two there. One in particular with a front-end loader/Bobcat shoveling coal(?) out of a hopper car. Have fun with your new layout.
Well since your not a Rivet counter having fun should come easy and you'll truly enjoy. Fun is built right in. Welcome aboard and ask away as the questions arise
Great to know you feel this way. You've got it made and will have plenty of fun. Welcome to TrainBoard!
Good grief, I think I must have passed through there long back - move from Ft Polk to Ft Hood. Glad to have you along and definately let the rivets count themselves.
