Any update on how the S2's are going? It's been a few months since we've heard anything.

My lonely Arnold S2's are waiting for some new companions...

The Arnold S2's were pretty good switchers for their time. Mine are now about 20 years old and have had the geared wheel-sets replaced with NWSL parts. I'm not sure if I'll retire them when Atlas gets around to doing new D&RGW S2's... but... I do look forward to adding some Atlas S2' to the D&RGW roster I have.

I have one on order. It'll make a nice Western Pacific "Pumpkin" switcher.

Might have to aim for a couple of Rio Grande units, for switching duties!
Have the Rapido unit, just not DCC converted, much less sound!

Oh, my Rapidos had "sound", the grinding kind.... I sold them when Paul announced the Atlas S-2's and have two undecs on order ... they'll get the early ATSF zebra paint job with striping along the sills only.

The sound board prototypes are at the factory, so if everything works as designed, we can move into production.

And for all of you Santa Fe Modellers out there, we have new tall smokestacks for the SF units! Order now so that you can get them by the time the S-2's come out! You can get them here: http://shpws.me/vMtz

Mine just came in, and they are very nice... I didn't quite realize just how tiny they are. All I need now is for the Atlas S-2's to get here to put under them...
    Thanks for the update. Paul!
