I have JRMI 2.14 and I am trying to use it with the NCE USB interface. I have the correct drivers in the computer and it recognizes the interface. I have the interface connected to the Power Cab left side plugin, and this is connected to a programming track. I am using the 6 wire cable used to plug in the Power Cab throttle. I am getting a 306 error from the JMRI software. Need help please? Trains39
You may want to join the JMRI users group on Yahoo. I do not have any experience with the NCE products, but I have gotten all my questions answered at the Yahoo group.
I just got a Power Cab and USB Interface. Here's how to connect it. Power Cab is plugged into the left front port of the panel using the 6 conductor flat cable. USB interface is plugged into the rear port of the panel with the coiled 4 conductor cable that should have come with your Power Cab. I had at first plugged the USB interface into the right front port but didn't have any connection to my Mac so tried the back port. Hope that works for you - did for me.
Did you remove all the jumpers? The directions say to use one, but it never worked for me so I left them all off and it fires up every time.
So if I am reading this correctly, you do not have the Power Cab throttle plugged in. If so, then that is not correct. With the Power Cab, the throttle is the command station, so you have to have it plugged in to use the USB interface. The Power Cab has to be plugged into the left socket using the 6 wire cable. With the USB interface plugged into either the right socket or the rear one using another cable.
