The Santa Fe Fast Mail Express rounds a bend on the way from Chicago to Los Angeles. The rider coach on the tail end has been modified by adding step boxes and Kato trucks to pick up electricity for powering the marker lamps. I still need to re-decal it to reflect a more modern lettering scheme and get rid of the "American Railway Express" to be replaced by "Railway Express Agency." The "Railway Post Office" part has to go too. The two cars preceding it are modeled after wood sided cars with steel fish belly frames that were plated over to resemble heavyweight cars.
Since I have not finished any cars this week, I have pictures of my Wabash Athearn Genesis F7's, they ran smooth and great right out of the box on the club layout, I have had these for a number of years but have never run them before. Thanks for looking! Rick J!

A trio of Milwaukee Geeps are in central Wisconsin headed for the Twin Cities. That station wagon brings back memories for many of us baby boomers who can recall leaving the big city and traveling to the north woods of Wisconsin for summer vacation.

Thank you Bill...actually it is Model Railroad Planning 2012. The layout is not near complete enough for GMR I don't think. I haven't seen the finished article and no idea when it will make its way up North of the border so you are ahead of me on that! Unfortunately the lead editor at Kalmbach fell sick part way through the process so he handed it off to others and I didn't get a chance to see a final proof. That being said I have nothing but praise for the process and people involved in the article to that point…very smooth and very professional. I hope the article turned out well and not too much was lost in its edit. md

I have a LOT of these to do, so I'm trying to come up with an assembly line process. Stock unit is to the right of the weathered unit. Nice stuff everyone! -jamie
I've been working on the backside of the Sierra Buttes the last couple of weeks. Finally getting rid of all of that pink and white foam after about 10 years, LOL.
