Even though these are sold out you may expect another run as these are one of the best cars I have ever seen. Check out this review I did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHcW3g6NXhw Mike
I saw a set of these at my LHS on Wednesday. These are very nice. If I were a modern modeler I would have probably snapped up a set.
Mark, if you want them, try to get some of this run. Craig said the next run will be significantly higher MSRP due to the higher labor costs and complexity issues. So even if you have to pay a little bit of a premium (hint hint eBay) you might want to go for it. (I don't have any on eBay, btw...lol) I have to say, I'm considering getting a couple more myself. They are simply magnificent models.
I just found a LHS that has some of these in stock! And discount too! (Not as cheap as online, but still less than MSRP)! If any of you in the Southern California area are interested, PM me!
Woo-Hoo! Okay, I got me two sets of these babies today at the LHS. I didn't know adding the hitches (esp. the raised one) was problematic. Too bad there's no documentation in the box. Fortunately, I found this site: http://pwccsub.com/2011/06/26/adding-5th-wheels-to-blma-trinity-spine-cars/ which was totally helpful. One hitch down (or is that up?), nine to go!
I have been using Tenax to assemble mine. I like that it gives some time to position parts and seems to bond pretty well on these.
