Hey, this isn’t so bad. I’m so happy it’s not broken up into a 100 subsections like I was expecting. Looks great.

No unfortunately, I wasn't able to. That good huh?

I tried again, still giving me an error. Here's a screencap.

And whoever designed the new photo manager for V4 needs to be hauled out back by their ankles, and shot. Repeatedly. With the same bullet carved out of them. And in a multitude of painful, though not fatal locations. And preferably left for the crows.

It's THAT bad. I don't believe I could fgigure out how I managed to upload that again.

I agree. Thankfully I have found a possible fix and hopefully we can remove "From Computer" and "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" from the insert image options. This *should* make inserting images similar to how it was in vB3 before, simply clicking the insert image icon and pasting the URL.

Until we can try the fix, the way to insert an image is to choose "From URL" and UNCHECK "Retrieve remote file and reference locally". Then paste your URL into the field and hit OK.

Just please keep sharing your modeling. There are quite a bunch of HO folks here. Just need to get them all on their keyboard and away it goes...

    This place looks familiar................

Now THIS is more like it! All the features from the old, combined with the new. And I remember how it looked back on Day One, when this forum first came out. If folks don't like this, oh well.....................

As for HO, I'm dancing as fast as I can....................:tb-tongue:

Any possible chance we can have a Last 24 Hours of TB button? Seems more logical than some of the buttons at the top of the page. Currently it is buried in Quick Links. Jim

That's a thought. We are running out of room for most resolutions but will consider it.

Depending on what monitors and resolutions folks are running I think Eight (8) buttons is about the limit; otherwise, they wrap over other important links and drop-down lists.

Thank you very much for the color scheme. Much easier on the eyes.

It seems to be taking on some of the flavor of the old set up.

Yes, I don't run my browser (Chrome) full w-i-d-e screen (otherwise reading is like watching a tennis match :) ) and the buttons, links and search box certainly get themselves in a tangle. It's really not important to me as I hardly ever use them, but is a bit grungy. Something I'd think vBulletin Solutions should look into rather than TB staff.

YAY! Logged in this morning (after long train show day, yesterday) and looks fantastic! Great work, Charlie!

One "wish" -- is there anyway to lengthen the timer on what constitutes "new". Let me explain - I log in, do a quick "what's new" since I last logged on, see a post that I want to respond to, or start a new thread. Take maybe ten minutes (phone rings, whatever), and after finishing the post and submitting it, go back to forum list. Now, everything is showing as having been read, so "nothing new". Now I have to look at last post times scanning down the fora lists, and manually page through the end of the threads. Same behavior as before, but I figured "hey, changes are being made, might as well ask"

I'm with Rick on this to do. My work around is to use the "24 hours of Trainboard" button.

Another "wish", I liked the old "Trainboard" logo with the scenes within the letters. but I am sure because of the smaller size this has become an issue.

I also look foraward to the latest posted pictures and attachments to pop up upon entering the site.

Also, I use IE and the buttons overlay. FYI.

    John,

Comments heard. The previous logo was fantastic and we'll keep that in mind for the future. No plugin for latest photos seems to be available yet but we'll add that as soon as something become available.

As far as the buttons overlaying, one of the reasons that we went back to the widescreen is the belief that most people now have wide resolution. I would be interested in hearing how many people are having this issue.

    Thanks for the response Charlie.

I was also in someones profile and noticed there is no link to thier albums or even attachmants that they had posted. Will this become available? There is a "this page" link to share someones profile. Could it be that I was viewing a profile where that person did not have an album?

Charlie, that was it, no album. The attachments owned would be a nice feature though.

We've got some bells and whistles coming. We are doing some big picture stuff right now but also are doing some other details at the same time. Keep watching for enhancements in those areas.

    Continuing comments are welcome.
