Hi everyone! Newb Here with a question. Is it possible to use an mrc tech2 O27 to power my ac piko loco?
A few more facts would help. However, the MRC built for AC 027, triple track Lionel type layouts will run most brands of O scale equipment and do it well. G gauge that's a DC ball game.
I am not familiar with this loco either, are you sure it's AC and not DC? If it is AC, then the MRC pack should do the job. But be really, REALLY sure before you spend the money on an AC power supply. Does this loco run on 2 rail or 3 rail track? Do you have any instructions about it? I really don't know of any G scale locos that run on AC, but there could be such things. Woodie
Yea , It's AC alright Piko makes this version in both AC-DC. Like this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Piko-38100-Unio...515727?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item43a590718f
After CAREFUL experimentation, I have come to the conclusion that the Individual that I purchased the loco from had NO IDEA what they were talking about. It is indeed DC powered.:tb-biggrin:
