I read on another forum, I can't remember which, I was visiting looking for something else that it was rumored Kato's next train would be the Olympian Hiawatha with a Little Joe, but who knows. A Little Joe would be well within Kato's area of expertise though. We're posting all our N scale Christmas wish lists but we all know Santa says "HO HO HO".
Agreed... just for a different road Well... you made the same comments I was going to post... and your choices are in line with mine... except perhaps for the roadname and order desired. At least these four 'have' been done in the past. Fairbanks Morse H10/12-44 as appropriate for SP & D&RGW EMC NW2 in D&RGW Alco S2 switcher as appropriate for SP & D&RGW Alco RSD15 in SP colors [okay maybe AT&SF as well] Let me add a fifth which has NOT been done yet... Baldwin VO-660 in D&RGW []
Locos that do exist: CP E8. SOO GP38-2 in red (I'd renumber it 4444). GN F45 Locos that do not exist: A high quality non-streamlined 4-8-4. A Little Joe. SD40-2 and lot's of them.
The RSD15, FM and Alco switchers may have been done in the past but they are 1970's detailing and/or mechanisms and getting increasingly harder to find even if you are happy with them. I think it's about time for some new ones. As long as we're going over the quota of three I'll add a sixth which hasn't been done, a Baldwin DT-6-6-2000/RT-624 center cab.
late to the party but..... SP AC-9, all 3 ATSF 4-8-4's with the long distance oil tenders ATSF 2-8-2 with oil tenders and numbers from the 3rd and 4th district rosters

A Doodlebug...Con-cor made the galloping goose in N scale and this year its in ho but i would rather have a little doodlebug.....yeah...i know......:mfrown:
I just wish Kato would do more RRs...like I can use a few more UP ones...and a few more BN ones...being I only have 26 BN ones right now.
The top 3 "N" models on my want list ? Natasha Poly :tb-cool: Niki Taylor :tb-cool: And of course...Naomi Campbell :tb-cool: :tb-tongue: .
Paducah built chopped nose GP8s and GP10s and an SD38-2 (in orange would be okay, in DMIR colors would be better)
This is true, but that's also why they invented paint. Not only do you get a kick-ass model, but the fun of repainting it! :tb-biggrin::tb-biggrin::tb-biggrin: Plus it is unrealistic for a company to be expected to release them for every railroad, because most of them have differing standards and configurations that they would have to meet to make the rivet counters happy. Look at how many variances we have seen just in the latest FVM and Kato GEVO offerings alone. EDIT: I would also like to second and move to close on Superturbine's suggestion for an FEF!! That would be insanely awesome!!!
