All, I was just wondering if anyone knew the reasoning as to why the roofs of cabs are painted white in the CSX Dark Furute paint scheme. Thanks in advance for the information. Chris

There are a lot of CSX locos in the earlier Broght Future scheme with white roofs, as well as some Helm Leasing SD40-2s painted blue with white roofs. The white reflects heat, and sitting in a metal structure with no air conditioning, it is most appreciated. Not nearly as much as cab air conditioning, mind you, but it does help. :tb-wink:
